Arslan Ash EVO Japan 2024? Sorry, not happening. Arslan Ash, winner of the Tekken World Tour 2023 Global Finals and two-time EVO Japan winner had taken home the grand prize of 50,000 along with the King of Iron Fist’s Trophy, all the way back home. With TWT 2023 finally over, EVO Japan 2024 rears its head with Tekken 8 bringing some big changes.
Pakistan’s Arslan Ash has cemented himself as one of the greatest Tekken players of all time, decimating the likes of Korean juggernauts such as Knee, CBM, and ULSAN. As Tekken 8 started a new era of Tekken eSports, Arslan Ash will unfortunately not be competing in EVO Japan 2024– breaking his two-time EVO Japan win-streak. But why isn’t Arslan Ash competing this time around? Stay tuned to find out more.
Arslan Ash Not Attending EVO Japan 2024 Series? Visa Issues.
As a Pakistani resident, Arslan Ash has been unable to obtain clearance from the U.S. Embassy, therefore denying him a VISA to partake in the upcoming EVO Japan 2024 Tekken Series. This change of events has seriously upset the Tekken community, considering Arsalan Ash has pretty much made a name for himself in Tekken 7. Tekken 8 is changing up the mechanics of the game with an aggressive approach in mind; heat smashes, heat bursts, and recoverable chip damage.
While Arsalan Ash wasn’t a fan of relearning the game, he does still breathe and lives Tekken to the fullest. Fellow Korean players the likes of Knee were pretty saddened, including the majority of the Tekken community, considering that Arslan Ash won’t be participating this time around. Being a positive force in the community, Arslan Ash cheered on Knee to win EVO Japan 2024.
Arsalan Ash Sets His Eyes On Tekken 8 at EVO Vegas
While his absence from EVO Japan 2024 is unfortunately set to break Arslan Ash’s win streak, he’s set his eyes on EVO Vegas. But Arsalan Ash is just one of the few Tekken prodigies who won’t be attending EVO Japan 2024. No Pakistani reps will be attending EVO Japan 2024 this year. EVO Japan won’t be complete without Arsalan Ash, but we hope to see how Arslan hones his skills in the King of Iron Fist Tournament 8 next year!
