Hey, hey, Stalkers. Esports Eclipse here. If you’re on the hunt for legendary artifacts in Stalker 2 Heart of Chornobyl, the Compass Legendary Artifact might be the final piece of your collection—just as it was for me. This artifact drops from gravitational anomalies, such as vortexes and whirlwinds. To improve your chances of obtaining it, choosing a farming spot with multiple gravitational anomaly fields close to one another can save time. This guide will walk you through how to farm and get the Compass Legendary Artifact and the best Compass Legendary Artifact locations in Stalker 2.
How to Farm & Get Compass Legendary Artifact in Stalker 2
There are two reliable methods for farming legendary artifacts. The standard approach involves exploring the game as you normally would, moving from one gravitational anomaly field to the next, and hoping the Compass Legendary Artifact eventually drops. While this method works, it can be time-consuming and less efficient.
A faster method involves utilizing quick saves. First, approach a gravitational anomaly field until you are about 100 to 150 meters away. You can check your distance by selecting the field’s point of interest on your map and watching your compass at the top of the screen.
Once you’re close enough, quick-save your game. From there, head into the anomaly field and hunt for artifacts. If the dropped artifact isn’t the Compass Legendary Artifact, reload your save and try again. This technique reduces the need for unnecessary travel and allows you to farm more effectively.
Best Compass Legendary Artifact Locations in Stalker 2
The Izumrudne Point of Interest in the Zaton region, located in the southeastern part of the map, is one of the best locations for farming the Compass Legendary Artifact. This spot is ideal because another gravitational anomaly field Point of Interest, known as The Claw, is just 300 meters away.
Start your farming run at Izumrudne. If the Compass Legendary Artifact doesn’t drop, move about 250 to 300 meters to The Claw and try again. This strategy minimizes downtime between attempts and maximizes your efficiency. On average, it took me 16 or 17 attempts, during which I collected around 30 artifacts before the Compass finally dropped. The entire process took roughly 30 to 40 minutes.
You can also try the Ribs Location in the Lesser Zone Region, which is one of the places I found the Legendary Compass Artifact after many attempts.
Why Get the Compass Legendary Artifact? 90 Percent Damage Resistance
The Compass Legendary Artifact is OP in Stalker 2 because it provides maximum physical protection, making it invaluable for survival in Gravitational Anomalies. With the Compass Artifact equipped, damage from gravitational anomalies is significantly reduced by 90 Percent. Additionally, it offers better protection against enemies such as pseudo dogs and bloodsuckers, minimizing the damage they can inflict during combat.
Although the Compass can drop from any gravitational anomaly field, players have reported better luck farming in higher-level zones or after completing more main missions and surviving additional emissions. While this observation isn’t backed by hard data, many players believe these factors increase the chances of obtaining legendary artifacts like the Compass.
Tips for Farming the Compass Legendary Artifact in Stalker 2
When farming for the Compass Legendary Artifact, patience is your greatest ally. Legendary artifacts have a random drop rate, so it may take multiple attempts before you find what you’re looking for. Regions like Zaton, where anomaly fields are closer together, can save you time and effort during your farming sessions.
Make sure you’re well-prepared with med kits and proper equipment, as gravitational anomaly fields can be hazardous, and unexpected enemy encounters are common.
With persistence and a bit of luck, you’ll secure the Compass Legendary Artifact in no time. Stay safe out there, stalkers, as The Zone gives and the Zone takes.
