ALL B Tier Weapons in Space Marine 2 – Worst Weapons in Space Marine 2

Combat Knife – B Tier

Combat Knife B Tier - Warhammer Space Marine 2 Weapons Tier List - Space Marine 2 All Weapons - Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List- Space Marine 2 All Weapons Ranked From Worst To Best

The Combat Knife is a fast-attacking melee weapon that excels at single-target damage. It has great perks like Kinetic Energy, where each consecutive heavy attack increases heavy attack damage by 3%, stacking up to 30%, making it great against bosses. There’s also Shadow Stab, which replaces a heavy swing with a charged attack that increases damage by 100% per second of charging, allowing for insane burst damage. While the Combat Knife provides excellent single-target damage, it lacks cleaving power, making it less effective against swarms of enemies. This often leaves me wishing I had something better when being rushed by a crowd of Tyranids. For that reason, I’m placing it in B tier.

Combat Knife Pros:

  • Fast-attacking melee weapon for quick damage.
  • Excellent single-target damage with Kinetic Energy perk.
  • Insane burst damage with Shadow Stab perk.

Combat Knife Cons:

  • Lacks cleaving power for dealing with swarms of enemies.
  • Ineffective against crowds of Tyraids due to limited area of effect.

Bolt Pistol – B Tier

Bolt Pistol B Tier

First up, we have the Bolt Pistol, and perhaps the best thing about it is that so many different classes can use it. With minimal investment, you can make a lot of your classes stronger. It also comes with some fantastic perks like Retaliation, which grants 25% more damage for 5 seconds after a perfectly timed dodge, allowing your retaliation hits to pack a punch. There’s also Rapid Health, which restores 5% of your health after killing 10 enemies in rapid succession when your health is below 30%. Lastly, after killing a major-level or higher enemy with a melee weapon, headshots deal 50% more damage for 5 seconds—a massive damage boost that’s easy to trigger after a melee kill.

The Bolt Pistol is a solid sidearm, but it doesn’t stand out compared to the other two pistols on this list. Its biggest strength is its versatility, as many classes can equip it. If you level it up, it becomes a great pistol, but I prefer the others, so I’m placing it in B tier.

Bolt Pistol Pros:

  • Versatile sidearm usable by many classes.
  • Retaliation perk for increased damage after timed dodges.
  • Rapid Health perk for health restoration after killing multiple enemies.
  • Headshot damage boost after killing a major-level or higher enemy with a melee weapon.

Bolt Pistol Cons:

  • Doesn’t stand out compared to other pistols on the list.
  • Less preferred than other pistols in terms of overall performance.

Auto Bolt Rifle – B Tier

Auto Botl Rifle B Tier

Now, onto the primary weapons. First up is the Auto Bolt Rifle, a fully automatic, close-range rifle. Its most notable perks include Perpetual Penetration, which allows shots to penetrate one additional target, Rampage, which boosts damage by 25% for 5 seconds after killing 10 enemies in rapid succession, and Increased Capacity, which increases your max ammo reserve by 20%.

As far as rifles go, this one excites me about as much as white toast. It’s just fine. It doesn’t do anything exceptionally, which always leaves me wishing I had a different primary weapon whenever I equip it. For all these reasons, I’m placing it in B tier.

Auto Bolt Rifle Pros:

  • Fully automatic, close-range rifle for sustained fire.
  • Perpetual Penetration perk for shots to penetrate additional targets.
  • Rampage perk for increased damage after killing multiple enemies.
  • Increased Capacity perk for larger ammo reserve.

Auto Bolt Rifle Cons:

  • Doesn’t offer exceptional performance compared to other rifles.
  • Leaves the user wanting for a more exciting primary weapon.

Heavy Bolt Rifle – B Tier

Heavy Bolt Rifle B Tier

Next up, we’ve got the Heavy Bolt Rifle, a fully automatic mid-range rifle with decent accuracy and solid damage. Its perks help elevate its performance, starting with Magazine Restoration, which gives you a full magazine back when your health drops below 30%. Like other weapons, it also has Adamant Hunter, granting 25% more headshot damage when your health is below 30%, promoting that “stay just below 30% health” playstyle. Able Precision decreases max spread by 25% for 5 seconds after using your class ability, and Rampage boosts your damage by 25% for 5 seconds after killing 10 enemies in rapid succession. Honed Precision decreases hip-fire spread by 25%, while Perpetual Penetration lets each shot penetrate one additional target.

These perks save the Heavy Bolt Rifle from getting lost among the many bolt weapons in Space Marine 2. Once unlocked, they make this weapon feel solid for close and mid-range combat, offering great accuracy when aiming down sights and reliable spread control when hip-firing. However, despite these strengths, there are many other weapons I’d prefer to equip over this one, so it sits in B tier.

Heavy Bolt Rifle Pros:

  • Fully automatic mid-range rifle with decent accuracy and damage.
  • Magazine Restoration perk for full magazine when health is low.
  • Adamant Hunter perk for increased headshot damage when health is low.
  • Able Precision perk for decreased spread after using class ability.
  • Rampage perk for increased damage after killing multiple enemies.
  • Honed Precision perk for decreased hip-fire spread.
  • Perpetual Penetration perk for shots to penetrate additional targets.

Heavy Bolt Rifle Cons:

  • Doesn’t stand out among the many bolt weapons in Space Marine 2.
  • Less preferred than other weapons in terms of overall performance.

Oculus Bolt Carbine – B Tier

Oculus Bolt Carbine B Tier

Next up we have the Oculus Bolt Carbine. This is a rapid-fire mid-range carbine with an extended magazine, so you’ve got great firepower and a great rate of fire. However, the accuracy and range are just okay. Its notable perks include Retaliation, which says that after perfect dodges, you deal 25% more damage for 5 seconds. You also have Perpetual Penetration, allowing your shots to penetrate one additional target.

Additionally, there’s Elusive Precision, which reduces your max spread by 25% after a perfect dodge. Another perk reduces your hip-fire spread by 25%, and Rapid Health gives you 5% of your health back if you kill 10 enemies in quick succession while below 30% health. Magazine Restoration provides an entire magazine back anytime you drop below 30% health, and Perpetual Precision reduces the spread of your weapon by another 10%.

Until you get your perks unlocked, this weapon can be difficult to control. Once you do, it becomes a solid weapon with a larger magazine, so you don’t have to reload as often. Still, it often leaves me wishing I had any other weapon in my hands, and for that reason, I’m going to place it in B tier.

Oculus Bolt Carbine Pros:

  • Rapid-fire mid-range carbine with extended magazine for great firepower.
  • Retaliation perk for increased damage after perfect dodges.
  • Perpetual Penetration perk for shots to penetrate additional targets.
  • Elusive Precision perk for decreased spread after perfect dodges.
  • Reduced hip-fire spread for improved accuracy.
  • Rapid Health perk for health restoration after killing multiple enemies.
  • Magazine Restoration perk for full magazine when health is low.
  • Perpetual Precision perk for decreased spread.

Oculus Bolt Carbine Cons:

  • Accuracy and range are just okay.
  • Can be difficult to control before perks are unlocked.
  • Doesn’t stand out compared to other weapons in terms of overall performance.

Heavy Bolter – B Tier

Heavy Bolter B Tier - Warhammer Space Marine 2 Weapons Tier List - Space Marine 2 All Weapons - Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List- Space Marine 2 All Weapons Ranked From Worst To Best

Next up we have the Heavy Bolter. This is a fully automatic heavy weapon whose fire rate accelerates over time. It takes a while for the damage on this weapon to ramp up, and frankly, the damage isn’t great until it does. However, the perks can help it out quite a bit. Notable perks include Perfect Cooling, which states that after a perfect dodge, the weapon is completely cooled. This is significant because heavy weapons often struggle with overheating.

Increased Capacity gives you 20% more ammo, which is great for any heavy weapon. Head Hunter allows you to focus on headshot damage. Perpetual Penetration lets this weapon’s many bullets penetrate one additional target. Adamant Hunter increases headshot damage by 25% when your HP is below 30%, encouraging you to stay just below this health threshold.

Adamant Restoration restores 25% of your ammo whenever your health drops below 30%, which is another reason to maintain that 30% health mark. Heavy Precision x2 includes two Heavy Precision perks that decrease your max spread by 10% when in heavy stance, allowing you to better focus on headshots. Heavy M x2 includes two Heavy M perks that increase damage by 15% each while in heavy stance, totaling a 30% damage increase. Finally, Discipline boosts damage by 25% when you’re low on ammo.

This weapon almost feels great, but the incredibly long charge-up time can make it feel like an eternity before your damage ramps up. Additionally, you need to forgo the other two heavy weapons to use it. Once you do get your fire rate up, it starts putting out impressive damage. The increased headshot damage from multiple perks can let you melt bosses, provided they don’t force you to move and reset your weapon’s spin-up. Unfortunately, they often do, causing your damage to drop significantly. For these reasons, I’m placing this weapon in B tier.

Heavy Bolter Pros:

  • Fully automatic heavy weapon with increased fire rate over time.
  • Perfect Cooling perk for complete cooling after perfect dodges.
  • Increased Capacity perk for larger ammo reserve.
  • Head Hunter perk for increased headshot damage.
  • Perpetual Penetration perk for shots to penetrate additional targets.
  • Adamant Hunter perk for increased headshot damage when health is low.
  • Adamant Restoration perk for ammo restoration when health is low.
  • Heavy Precision x2 perk for decreased spread in heavy stance.
  • Heavy M x2 perk for increased damage in heavy stance.
  • Discipline perk for increased damage when low on ammo.

Heavy Bolter Cons:

  • Incredibly long charge-up time before damage ramps up.
  • Requires forgoing other heavy weapons to use.
  • Damage can drop significantly if forced to move and reset weapon’s spin-up.

All A-Tier Weapons in Space Marine 2 – Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List

Chainsword – A Tier

Chainsword A Tier

The Chainsword is awesome just because it’s a chainsaw and a sword combined into one. On top of that, it gets perks like Swift Recovery, which gives you twice as much contested health back, and Momentum Gain, which causes each consecutive light attack to increase your melee damage by 3%, stacking up to 30% for 3 seconds. This allows you to ramp up your damage against elites and bosses. Alternatively, you could go a completely different route and take Crushing Heel, where enemies hit by your stomp deal 30% less damage for 4 seconds. The Chainsword is an all-around great melee weapon—it has great cleave, feels good, looks good, and the damage ramps up when you’re fighting something with a lot of health. For all of these reasons, I’m placing it in A tier.

Chainsword Pros:

  • Powerful melee weapon combining chainsaw and sword.
  • Swift Recovery perk for increased contested health recovery.
  • Momentum Gain perk for increased melee damage with consecutive light attacks.
  • Crushing Heel perk for reduced enemy damage after stomp.
  • Great cleave, feel, and looks.
  • Ramping damage against high-health enemies.

Chainsword Cons:

  • None really

Power Sword – A Tier

Power Sword A Tier

Next up, we have the Power Sword. This is a unique weapon with two stances. When unpowered, it has less cleave but deals higher damage, while when powered, you get more cleave but less damage. It has some fantastic perks like Master of Offense, which grants 20% more melee damage for 5 seconds after switching sword combat styles. There’s also Master of Defense, which reduces ranged damage taken by 20% for 5 seconds after switching styles, making it great for the already fantastic survivability of the build. Additionally, it has Speed Restoration and Power Restoration perks, which increase contested health restoration by 100%.

The Power Sword feels and looks great. Changing stances and powering up as you’re approaching an enemy never gets old, and the fact that doing so buffs your character is a great addition. Having the option to set yourself up for better cleave or better single-target damage is also fantastic, especially for a class that relies heavily on melee damage. It’s a great melee weapon, but given the choice, I wouldn’t pick it over the Thunder Hammer, so A tier is where it’ll sit.

Power Sword Pros:

  • Unique weapon with two stances for different playstyles.
  • Master of Offense perk for increased melee damage after switching styles.
  • Master of Defense perk for reduced ranged damage taken after switching styles.
  • Speed Restoration and Power Restoration perks for increased contested health restoration.
  • Ability to switch stances for better cleave or single-target damage.

Power Sword Cons:

  • It’s alright but better to go for the Thunder Hammer.

Power Fist – A Tier

Power Fist A Tier

Next up, we’ve got the Power Fist, a fist weapon that has way more reach than you’d expect. It has perks like Swift Recovery, which causes you to get 100% more contested health back with your attacks. There’s also Heavy Preparation, which reduces your heavy attack prep time by 30%. This is crucial because heavy attacks are a big part of this weapon. You’ve got Rally, where if your health is below 30%, a successful backfist or thrust jab restores one armor segment—huge for survivability. Then there’s Focused Intention, which reduces health damage by 50% while preparing heavy attacks if your health is below 30%, again phenomenal for survival. Concussive Impact increases the AoE radius of backfist and thrust jab by 50%, and Heavy Armament boosts your Cannon Punch damage by 50%. This weapon feels okay without perks but amazing once they’re unlocked. It’s got much more reach than expected, quick attack speed, and, with perks unlocked, great damage. For these reasons, I’m placing it in A tier.

Power Fist Pros:

  • Fist weapon with unexpected reach.
  • Swift Recovery perk for increased contested health recovery.
  • Heavy Preparation perk for reduced heavy attack prep time.
  • Rally perk for armor restoration when health is low.
  • Focused Intention perk for reduced health damage during heavy attack preparation.
  • Concussive Impact perk for increased AoE radius of backfist and thrust jab.
  • Heavy Armament perk for increased Cannon Punch damage.
  • Quick attack speed and great damage with perks unlocked.

Power Fist Cons:

  • Feels JUST okay without perks.

Bolt Rifle – A Tier

Bolt Rifle A Tier

Next up, we have the Bolt Rifle, a fully automatic precision rifle. This weapon offers fantastic accuracy and damage. It comes with perks like Magazine Restoration, which replenishes an entire magazine of ammo when your health drops below 30%. Then there’s Adamant Hunter, which boosts headshot damage by 25% when your HP is below 30%. You also get Able Precision, which decreases max spread by 25% after using a class ability, and Honed Precision, which reduces hip-fire spread by 25%. Lastly, Rampage grants a 25% damage buff for 5 seconds after killing 10 enemies in rapid succession.

Between the solid damage, great accuracy, and low spread once you’ve unlocked all the perks, this Bolter feels great to use. In a game where bolt weapons are often overshadowed by plasma and melta counterparts, this one holds its own. It may not feel amazing right off the bat, but with all the perks unlocked, it easily earns its spot in A tier.

Bolt Rifle Pros:

  • Fully automatic precision rifle with fantastic accuracy and damage.
  • Magazine Restoration perk for full magazine when health is low.
  • Adamant Hunter perk for increased headshot damage when health is low.
  • Able Precision perk for decreased spread after using class ability.
  • Honed Precision perk for decreased hip-fire spread.
  • Rampage perk for increased damage after killing multiple enemies.
  • Solid damage, great accuracy, and low spread with perks unlocked.

Bolt Rifle Cons:

  • May not feel amazing without perks.

Stalker Bolt Rifle A Tier

Stalker Bolt Rifle A Tier

Next, we have the Stalker Bolt Rifle, a scoped, high-powered semi-automatic rifle. This weapon excels in accuracy and damage, but what really sets it apart are the perks, which focus heavily on headshot damage. First up is Long Shot, which causes enemies more than 20 meters away to take 10% more damage. Then there’s Survival Instinct, granting 25% more damage when you’re below 30% health. The Stalker also boasts two different Headhunter perks, which together grant a total of 20% more headshot damage. Agile Hunter adds another boost, increasing headshot damage by 35% for 5 seconds after a perfectly timed dodge.

On top of all that, it has Adamant Grip, which reduces recoil by 25%, making it easier to land headshots consistently. There’s also a perk that allows you to reload all your weapons 10% faster, which feels great during heated combat. Thanks to the Stalker Bolt Rifle’s focus on interesting and powerful perks, it stands out as a fun and rewarding weapon. Get yourself below 30% health to enjoy a 25% damage boost at all times, stack that with the 20% and 35% headshot damage boosts, and you’ll be melting enemies as long as your crosshair is on their heads. For all these reasons, this bolt weapon comfortably sits in A tier.

Stalker Bolt Rifle Pros:

  • Scoped, high-powered semi-automatic rifle with excellent accuracy and damage.
  • Long Shot perk for increased damage against distant enemies.
  • Survival Instinct perk for increased damage when health is low.
  • Headhunter perks for increased headshot damage.
  • Agile Hunter perk for increased headshot damage after perfect dodges.
  • Adamant Grip perk for reduced recoil.
  • Faster weapon reloading for improved efficiency.
  • Focus on interesting and powerful perks makes it a fun and rewarding weapon.

Stalker Bolt Rifle Cons:

  • Feels alright, no cons here.

Bolt Carbine – A Tier

Bolt Carbine A Tier

Next up, we have the Bolt Carbine, a mid-range weapon with an extremely rapid fire rate. This is your go-to bolt weapon for frontline combat, and its perks are designed to complement an aggressive playstyle. You’ve got Retaliation, which grants 25% more damage for 5 seconds after a perfectly timed dodge, and Elusive Precision, which decreases max spread by 25% for 5 seconds after a perfect dodge. The carbine also has two Adamant Grip perks, reducing recoil by a total of 50%, making sustained fire much more controllable. Additionally, two Headhunter perks provide a total of 20% more headshot damage, while Honed Precision reduces hip-fire spread by 25%.

For extra damage, when you’re below 30% health, you get a 25% damage boost, and Perpetual Precision reduces spread by another 10%. Without these perks, the Bolt Carbine can feel unwieldy and difficult to control, but once you unlock everything, it becomes a beast in close to mid-range combat. Its rapid-fire rate and perk synergy allow you to dive into the thick of battle and unleash massive damage. It fills a niche that plasma weapons and other rifles tend to lack, and once maxed out, it can shred enemies at close range. For these reasons, I’m placing it comfortably in A tier.

Bolt Carbine Pros:

  • Mid-range weapon with extremely rapid fire rate.
  • Retaliation perk for increased damage after perfect dodges.
  • Elusive Precision perk for decreased spread after perfect dodges.
  • Adamant Grip perks for reduced recoil.
  • Headhunter perks for increased headshot damage.
  • Honed Precision perk for decreased hip-fire spread.
  • Increased damage when health is low.
  • Perpetual Precision perk for decreased spread.
  • Rapid-fire rate and perk synergy for aggressive playstyle.
  • Shred enemies at close range when maxed out.

Bolt Carbine Cons:

  • Can be unwieldy and difficult to control without perks.

Instigator Bolt Carbine – A Tier

Instigator Bolt Carbine A Tier

Next, we have the Instigator Bolt Carbine, a scoped precision carbine that fires in three-round bursts. This weapon excels at medium to long-range combat, offering two zoom levels for different engagements—one for medium and one for long-range precision. It boasts great firepower, accuracy, rate of fire, and range. The perks make it even more deadly. Efficient Hunter gives you a 35% headshot damage boost after reloading with low ammo—a huge bonus for a weapon this precise. There’s also Headhunter, which adds another 10% headshot damage.

Perpetual Penetration allows each shot to pass through one additional target, making it great for dealing with groups, while Rampage gives you a 25% damage boost for 5 seconds after killing 10 enemies in quick succession. Adamant Grip reduces recoil by 25%, making it easier to land headshots in rapid succession.

While it’s a strong weapon for medium and long-range combat, the Instigator Bolt Carbine struggles in close-range situations, where you’ll find yourself needing to switch to a melee weapon. Its perks make it a solid choice for taking down elites and bosses from a distance, but you won’t want to rely on it up close. For these reasons, the Instigator Bolt Carbine comfortably sits in A tier.

Instigator Bolt Carbine Pros:

  • Scoped precision carbine that fires in three-round bursts.
  • Excels at medium to long-range combat.
  • Two zoom levels for different engagements.
  • Great firepower, accuracy, rate of fire, and range.
  • Efficient Hunter perk for increased headshot damage after reloading with low ammo.
  • Headhunter perk for increased headshot damage.
  • Perpetual Penetration perk for shots to penetrate additional targets.
  • Rampage perk for increased damage after killing multiple enemies.
  • Adamant Grip perk for reduced recoil.

Instigator Bolt Carbine Cons:

  • Struggles in close-range situations.
  • Best suited for taking down elites and bosses from a distance.

Heavy Plasma Incinerator – A Tier

Heavy Plasma Incinerator Rifle A Tier

Next up we have the Heavy Plasma Incinerator. This is a high-powered plasma weapon with great burst damage against elites and solid AOE damage when using charged bursts. At first, this weapon may feel just okay, and you’ll likely notice some issues, but the perks really address these problems.

The weapon feels best when you’re unloading massive charge shots at your enemies. The main issue is the time it takes to charge and the cost of charging those shots, consuming 10 energy per charge shot. Heavy Velocity increases charge speed by 10%, while Adamant Velocity causes your shots to charge 25% faster when below 30% HP. With these perks, you’re charging your shots 35% faster.

Efficient Charge causes charge shots to use two less energy, improving efficiency by about 20%. Plasma Collection adds 20% more energy reserves. Adamant Restoration provides 25% of your energy reserve back when your health drops below 30%, which helps with energy management, so you’re not constantly running out of ammo.

The weapon also features two Supercharged perks, each increasing the damage of charge shots by 10%, for a total of 20% increased damage. Additionally, there’s a perk that grants 25% more damage for 5 seconds after a perfectly timed dodge. Once you unlock all these perks, the main problem remaining is the slow projectile speed. However, grabbing the Plasma Speed perk increases speed by a massive 50%, solving this issue.

Charging up your Heavy Plasma and launching balls of destruction at elites always feels amazing. Initially, this weapon can feel a bit clunky due to long charge times and low energy reserves, but as you level it up and unlock key perks, it starts to feel great. The one downside is its performance in close-quarters combat, especially since this weapon is used by a class without a melee weapon. For all these reasons, I’ll place the Heavy Plasma Incinerator in A tier.

Heavy Plasma Incinerator Pros:

  • High-powered plasma weapon with great burst damage against elites and solid AOE damage.
  • Improved charging speed and efficiency with perks.
  • Increased energy reserves and energy restoration for better energy management.
  • Increased charge shot damage with Supercharged perks.
  • Increased projectile speed with Plasma Speed perk.
  • Feels satisfying to charge and launch plasma balls at enemies.

Heavy Plasma Incinerator Cons:

  • Can feel clunky initially due to long charge times and low energy reserves.
  • Struggles in close-quarters combat due to lack of melee weapon.

All S Tier Weapons in Space Marine 2: Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List

Plasma Pistol – S Tier

Plasma Pistol S Tier

The Plasma Pistol is a versatile, great-feeling, and great-looking weapon. You can charge up shots for fantastic burst damage, and these charged shots can even interrupt enemies at a distance. Its most notable perks include Plasma Collection, which increases the energy reserve by 20%, and Efficient Charge, which reduces the energy used by charged shots. These perks are especially valuable because the weapon already deals fantastic damage. The primary issue is that charged shots consume ammo quickly.

Additionally, after a perfectly timed dodge, you deal 25% more damage for 5 seconds, and since this weapon is often used by a class that excels at dodging, you’ll frequently benefit from this buff. The Plasma Pistol’s ability to deal solid single-target damage or charge for huge burst damage against elites makes it a sidearm that feels great to use. Despite how quickly you can burn through ammo, it’s one of the few sidearms I’m excited to pull out when needed. For these reasons, it’s an S tier weapon.

Plasma Pistol Pros:

  • Versatile, great-feeling, and great-looking weapon.
  • Charge up shots for fantastic burst damage and enemy interrupts.
  • Plasma Collection perk for increased energy reserve.
  • Efficient Charge perk for reduced energy used by charged shots.
  • Increased damage after perfectly timed dodges.
  • Solid single-target damage and huge burst damage against elites.

Plasma Pistol Cons:

  • Charged shots consume ammo quickly.

Bolt Sniper Rifle – S Tier – Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List

Next up, we have the Bolt Sniper Rifle. This is a scoped semi-automatic sniper rifle with extreme headshot damage. Its perks include Survival Instinct, which, when your HP is below 30%, lets you deal 25% more damage. Long Shot makes enemies more than 20 meters away take 10% more damage. There are two different Head Hunter perks, each giving you 10% more headshot damage, for a total of 20% more headshot damage. Finally, Agile Hunter causes headshots to deal 35% more damage for 5 seconds after a perfectly timed dodge.

Agile Hunter is a bit harder to proc, especially since you’ll be using this weapon from the back lines where you’ll have fewer opportunities for perfect dodges. The high damage, incredible accuracy, and quick fire rate of this sniper rifle make it feel amazing. Adding in some great perks for multiplying headshot damage makes popping heads more satisfying than ever. For these reasons, I’m placing this weapon in S tier.

Bolt Sniper Rifle Pros:

  • Scoped semi-automatic sniper rifle with extreme headshot damage.
  • Survival Instinct perk for increased damage when health is low.
  • Long Shot perk for increased damage against distant enemies.
  • Head Hunter perks for increased headshot damage.

Heavy Bolt Pistol – S Tier

Heavy Bolt Pistol S Tier - Warhammer Space Marine 2 Weapons Tier List - Space Marine 2 All Weapons - Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List- Space Marine 2 All Weapons Ranked From Worst To Best

Next up, we have the Heavy Bolt Pistol, the hardest-hitting bolt pistol in the lineup. It boasts fantastic firepower, great accuracy, and solid reload speed. This pistol hits like a truck, especially once you’ve unlocked all its perks, such as Death Strike, which grants 25% more damage for 5 seconds after killing a Majoris-level or higher enemy with a melee weapon. There’s also Perpetual Penetration, which allows each shot to penetrate one additional target, and Rapid Health, which restores 5% of your health when you kill 10 enemies in rapid succession while your health is below 30%. Finally, there’s Adamant Hunter, which boosts headshot damage by 25% when your health is below 30%.

This is one of many weapons that encourage staying right below the 30% health mark. The Heavy Bolt Pistol is everything you’d want in a sidearm—massive damage, solid range, and accuracy. It also helps make up for the fact that the Assault class doesn’t get a primary weapon. The only downside is that Assault is the only class that can use it, but for all these reasons, it’s definitely an S tier sidearm.

Heavy Bolt Pistol Pros:

  • Hard-hitting bolt pistol with fantastic firepower, accuracy, and solid reload speed.
  • Death Strike perk for increased damage after killing a Majoris-level or higher enemy.
  • Perpetual Penetration perk for shots to penetrate additional targets.
  • Rapid Health perk for health restoration after killing multiple enemies.
  • Adamant Hunter perk for increased headshot damage when health is low.
  • Encourages staying below 30% health for various perks.
  • Massive damage, solid range, and accuracy.
  • Helps make up for Assault class’s lack of primary weapon.

Heavy Bolt Pistol Cons:

  • Only usable by Assault class.

Plasma Incinerator – S Tier

Plasma Incinerator S Tier - Warhammer Space Marine 2 Weapons Tier List - Space Marine 2 All Weapons - Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List- Space Marine 2 All Weapons Ranked From Worst To Best

Next, we have the Plasma Incinerator, a rapid-fire mid-range plasma weapon. While its rapid-fire mode is great, it’s most fun when you charge it up for massive damage against elites. However, like many plasma weapons, it feels rough to use until you unlock perks that smooth out its weaknesses. The first notable perk is Rampage, which grants a 25% damage buff after killing 10 enemies in rapid succession. Adamant Restoration restores 25% of your max energy reserves when your health drops below 30%, while Adamant Velocity increases your charge speed by 25% when your HP is below 30%.

There are also two charge speed perks that increase your projectile speed by 25% each, solving the issue of slow-moving plasma shots that can be dodged by enemies. Retaliation gives you a 25% damage buff after a perfect dodge, and Efficient Charge reduces the energy cost of charged shots by two units. These perks make the Plasma Incinerator shine by improving its efficiency and fixing its biggest issues, like projectile speed and energy consumption.

Charging up the Plasma Incinerator to take out two elites at once feels incredibly satisfying. On top of that, charged shots can interrupt enemies calling for reinforcements and deal solid AoE damage. The initial downsides of low ammo and slow projectiles are completely mitigated once the perks are unlocked, leaving the weapon feeling fantastic when fully maxed out. Pair it with a good cleaving melee weapon for close-range encounters, and you’ll be set for almost any fight. For all these reasons, I’m confidently placing the Plasma Incinerator in S tier.

Plasma Incinerator Pros:

  • Rapid-fire mid-range plasma weapon for efficient damage.
  • Charge up shots for massive damage against elites.
  • Rampage perk for increased damage after killing multiple enemies.
  • Adamant Restoration perk for energy restoration when health is low.
  • Adamant Velocity perk for increased charge speed when health is low.
  • Increased projectile speed with charge speed perks.
  • Retaliation perk for increased damage after perfect dodges.
  • Efficient Charge perk for reduced energy cost of charged shots.
  • Satisfying experience of charging and taking out multiple elites.
  • Interrupts enemies and deals solid AoE damage with charged shots.
  • Overcomes initial downsides of low ammo and slow projectiles with perks.

Plasma Incinerator Cons:

  • Feels rough to use without perks.

Melta Rifle – S Tier – Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List

Melta Rifle S Tier - Warhammer Space Marine 2 Weapons Tier List - Space Marine 2 All Weapons - Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List- Space Marine 2 All Weapons Ranked From Worst To Best

Next up, we have the Melta Rifle, a close-range thermal weapon that feels more like a futuristic shotgun. Initially, its range feels limited, but once you’ve unlocked all its perks, you’ll be amazed at how far it can reach. The Melta Rifle excels at staggering enemies, cleaving through groups, and dealing massive damage—exactly what you want in a close-range weapon. Its perks significantly improve its effectiveness. Extended Magazine increases your magazine size by 15%, while Magazine Restoration gives you a full clip back when your health drops below 30%. There’s also a perk that boosts your fire rate by 25% after a perfect dodge, and Elusive Range, which increases your effective range by 3 meters after a perfect dodge.

Additionally, Perpetual Range increases your range by another meter, making this shotgun-like weapon king of close and medium-range combat. What sets the Melta Rifle apart is its ability to stagger enemies. Shoot an elite with a Bolt Rifle, and it might still charge at you. Shoot it with the Melta Rifle, and you’ll daze it, making it think twice about that decision. It’s excellent for clearing waves of smaller enemies and taking down elites.

Ammo management can be tricky at first, but once you unlock all the perks, that issue largely disappears. The Melta Rifle has become a community favorite for good reason—it’s one of the best-feeling weapons in the game. Without a doubt, the Melta Rifle earns its place in S tier.

Melta Rifle Pros:

  • Close-range thermal weapon with shotgun-like feel.
  • Increased range with perks.
  • Excels at staggering enemies, cleaving through groups, and dealing massive damage.
  • Extended Magazine perk for increased magazine size.
  • Magazine Restoration perk for full clip when health is low.
  • Increased fire rate after perfect dodges.
  • Increased effective range after perfect dodges.
  • Ability to stagger enemies for better crowd control.
  • Excellent for clearing waves of enemies and taking down elites.
  • Improved ammo management with perks.
  • Best-feeling weapons in the game.

Melta Rifle Cons:

  • Limited range initially.

Thunder Hammer – S Tier – Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List

Thunder Hammer S Tier - Warhammer Space Marine 2 Weapons Tier List - Space Marine 2 All Weapons - Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List- Space Marine 2 All Weapons Ranked From Worst To Best

The Thunder Hammer delivers fantastic damage. This weapon is a beast, with great AoE, stun, and interrupt abilities. There’s not much more you could ask for in a melee weapon. Perks like Fast Preparation reduce Aftershock prep time by 30%, Shattering Impact increases ground slam AoE radius by 50%, and fully prepared Aftershock hits restore one armor segment—fantastic for survivability. Another perk reduces damage dealt by enemies hit by Comml Smash by 30% for 4 seconds. This weapon looks great, feels great, and does massive damage. Its perks double down on everything that makes it a great weapon. For these reasons, it’s my favorite melee weapon, sitting firmly in S tier.

Thunder Hammer Pros:

  • Fantastic damage, AoE, stun, and interrupt abilities.
  • Fast Preparation perk for reduced Aftershock prep time.
  • Shattering Impact perk for increased ground slam AoE radius.
  • Armor restoration with fully prepared Aftershock hits.
  • Reduced enemy damage after Comml Smash.
  • Great looks and feel.
  • Perks enhance its strengths.

Thunder Hammer Cons:

  • No significant cons

Shield – S Tier

Shield S Tier - Warhammer Space Marine 2 Weapons Tier List - Space Marine 2 All Weapons - Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List- Space Marine 2 All Weapons Ranked From Worst To Best

Next up, we have the Shield. While this technically isn’t a weapon you can select, it is a weapon you can use when playing as the Bulwark. You can use your shield to bash enemies and block projectiles. The only thing I wish was different about the Shield is that it had its own perk tree, allowing for more customization of playstyle. I bet some really interesting passives could be added to it. However, since it’s the only shield in the game, it’s definitely the best shield in the game, so S tier.

Shield Pros:

  • Unique weapon that can be used by the Bulwark class.
  • Can be used to bash enemies and block projectiles.
  • Best shield in the game due to its exclusivity.

Shield Cons:

  • Doesn’t have its own perk tree for customization.

The Best Weapons in Space Marine 2 – Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List

LAS Fusil – S Tier – Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List

LAS Fusil S Tier - Warhammer Space Marine 2 Weapons Tier List - Space Marine 2 All Weapons - Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List- Space Marine 2 All Weapons Ranked From Worst To Best

Next up, we have the LAS Fusil. This is a scoped, single-fire energy rifle, similar to the Bolt Rifle, except that you have to charge each shot, making it feel sluggish in the heat of battle. However, the story doesn’t end there thanks to some of its perks. Adamant Restoration grants 35% of your max ammo back when your HP drops below 30%, which is great because, with any sniper rifle, managing ammo reserves can be a challenge.

Another perk says that when your health is below 30%, shots charge 25% faster, which is essential for increasing your damage. There are three different Head Hunter perks, giving you a total of 30% more headshot damage—more than any other weapon. Additionally, there are three Amplification perks, which increase the radius of your beam weapons by 10% each, totaling a 30% increase in radius.

Another perk states that after killing three enemies or more with one shot, you’ll deal 25% more damage for 5 seconds. This is an easy perk to proc in the heat of battle. Additionally, there is a perk that says when your health is below 30%, killing three enemies with one shot also restores your health by 5%—again, an easy perk to proc. There’s also Perpetual Velocity, which charges your shots 15% faster, and Increased Capacity, which increases your ammo for this weapon by 20%.

The rifle can feel a bit rough to use early on due to the long charging time of each shot and how quickly it runs out of ammo. However, once you unlock all the perks, the charging time is drastically reduced, and your ammo reserves are significantly increased, making it feel much better in the heat of battle. Combined with the blistering semi-AOE damage this sniper rifle dishes out, it’s a unique and fun weapon, placing it in S tier.

LAS Fusil Pros:

  • Scoped, single-fire energy rifle with unique charging mechanic.
  • Adamant Restoration perk for ammo restoration when health is low.
  • Faster charging speed when health is low.
  • Increased headshot damage with Head Hunter perks.
  • Increased beam weapon radius with Amplification perks.
  • Bonus damage and health restoration after killing multiple enemies with one shot.
  • Perpetual Velocity perk for faster charging.
  • Increased ammo capacity with Increased Capacity perk.
  • Unique and fun weapon with powerful perks.

LAS Fusil Cons:

  • Can feel rough to use initially due to long charging time and limited ammo.

Multi Melta – S Tier – Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List

Multi Melta S Tier - Warhammer Space Marine 2 Weapons Tier List - Space Marine 2 All Weapons - Space Marine 2 Best Weapons Tier List- Space Marine 2 All Weapons Ranked From Worst To Best

Next up we have the Multi Melta. This is a close-ranged, high-powered thermal weapon, essentially a massive 20-round shotgun. It boasts some fantastic perks that significantly address its main issue: running out of ammo quickly. Since it’s used by a class without a melee weapon, this issue can be quite pronounced.

The Multi Melta features two different Increased Capacity perks, which together give it a total of 20% more ammo reserves. Additionally, Elite Restoration states that killing a Majoris-level or higher enemy restores 10% of your max ammo reserve. With both of these perks, the ammo issue for this weapon is largely resolved.

The next challenge to address is its rate of fire. Initially, the Multi Melta fires quite slowly. However, you can mitigate this with Heavy Fire, which increases your fire rate by 15% when in heavy stance, and Execution Fire, which boosts your fire rate by 25% for 5 seconds after a finisher.

There are also some strong damage perks like Death Strike, which grants 25% more damage for 5 seconds after killing a Majoris-level or higher enemy with a melee attack. Additionally, Elite Health restores 5% of your health when your health is below 30% after killing a Majoris-level or higher enemy with melee damage.

Perhaps the best feature of this weapon is not listed among its perks: its ability to restore massive chunks of your health while firing into enemies. Not only does it melt everything in front of you, but it also constantly heals you as you do so. This weapon has become the gold standard for what I hope every other weapon in this game eventually feels like

Each shot is satisfying, liquefying your enemies and staggering elites until they die, making the emperor proud. Managing ammo can be challenging until you unlock the perks, but once you do, you’ll find yourself with ample ammo and an abundance of dead enemies at your feet. Most importantly, each shot heals significant portions of your missing health, keeping you on the front lines in the thick of battle. For all these reasons, the Multi Melta is the only double S-tier weapon on the list for me.

Multi Melta Pros:

  • Close-ranged, high-powered thermal weapon with shotgun-like feel.
  • Increased ammo reserves with Increased Capacity perks.
  • Ammo restoration after killing Majoris-level or higher enemies.
  • Increased fire rate with Heavy Fire and Execution Fire perks.
  • Death Strike perk for increased damage after killing a Majoris-level or higher enemy.
  • Elite Health perk for health restoration after killing a Majoris-level or higher enemy.
  • Self-healing ability while firing into enemies.
  • Satisfying gameplay experience with powerful shots and enemy destruction.
  • Improved ammo management with perks.

Multi Melta Cons:

  • Can run out of ammo quickly without perks.
  • Initial slow fire rate before perks are unlocked.
