Easy Guide To Get Spirit in Path of Exile 2

Spirit is a new resource introduced in Path of Exile 2. Alongside life and mana, Weapon Skill Points, Spirit in POE 2 is something that you should keep an eye on as it can essentially determine your abilities and dictate your whole build. Since this is a new addition, veteran and new players are a little confused about how Spirit works and how they can obtain more of it. To get more spirit in POE2, you can defeat easy optional bosses like “The King In The Mists” in Act 1 and “Ignagduk The Bog Witch” Gor Gor Mog in Act 3. So let’s take a look at what Spirit is, how it works, and how to get 60 Spirit with any class in POE 2.

How To Get More Spirit in POE2

Spirit, as we mentioned earlier is a new kind of Resource, with the other 2 being Life and Mana. As you might already know, Life determines your health and Mana represents your capacity for performing magic and skills. What about Spirit? Well, Spirit allows you to activate special skills, usually buffs or abilities that greatly enhance builds. However, unlike Life and Mana, Spirit does not actively drain or regenerate. Instead, Spirit is a passive stat where Skills are allocated to be utilized.

For example, the Herald of Ash Skill requires 30 Spirit to be allocated to it. For example, if you have 60 Spirit, you can allocate 30 Spirit for the Herald of Ash Skill and the remaining 30 can be utilized for another Skill. If you choose to deactivate the Herald of Ash Skill, the 30 Spirit being used up by it will become available once again to be utilized.

We’re all well aware of how much difference your Class can make in POE 2. Thankfully, with our guide, you can quickly get 60 Spirit with any class and get the best out of your build and Skills. So, to get the 60 Spirit, you need to defeat 2 optional bosses:

  1. The King in The Mists
  2. Ignagduk: The Bog Witch

How To Defeat The King in The Mists in Path of Exile 2 To Get 30 Spirit

The King in The Mists is an optional boss found in Act I of Path of Exile 2. He is a part of a side quest “Freythorn” provided by Finn. The side-quest requires that you destroy all Ritual Altars in the Druid Village. Doing so will result in a boss encounter, and we have to warn you, it can be a tough fight. However, the fight can be quite easy once you keep note of the 2 spells he repeatedly casts; The Ritual of Meditation and The Ritual of Dance.

The first spell, Ritual of Meditation, can be identified by its distinctive red color. If you see the boss casting it, move away to a safe spot and stop moving completely. You can attack, but don’t move an inch. The second spell, The Ritual of Dance, can be identified by its purple color. When The King in The Mists casts it, start running around until you’ve avoided it. Other than these 2 spells, the rest of the fight is a routine boss fight. When you’ve defeated The King in the Mists, he will drop the Gembloom Skull, which will grant you +30 Spirit.

Defeat Ignagduk The Bog Witch To Get More Spirit in POE2

Ignagduk, The Bog Witch is another optional boss found in Gor-Gor Mog area within the Azak Bog in Act III. By killing her, you can also advance Servi’s quest by talking to her in the start of Azak Bog. Quite frankly, Ignagduk is an extremely annoying boss fight where she just flies around blasting you with fire and provide small windows to attack her. We highly recommend that you perform the Flameskin Ritual by lighting all the Effigies within Azak Bog before encountering her. That way, you’ll activate Ignagduk’s Harvest; granting you a 25% resistance to fire and increased Item Rarity in that area. After defeating her, you’ll get the Gemrot Skull, which grants +30 Spirit.

Conclusion

So, that about sums it up. Now, you know how Spirit works and how essential it truly is in Path of Exile 2. And since it’s so essential, as video game law dictates, it’s never going to be easy to get more of it. So make sure you’re well prepared, keep your cool during the fights, and follow our pointers. We’ll be cheering for you, so make sure to let us know about any cool builds you come up with after acquiring 60 Spirit!
