Does Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Have Ray Tracing or RTX Support?

There are a few notable concerns in the gaming community about RTX or Ray Tracing when talking about the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Port. No, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s PC Port will not use Ray Tracing or RTX. Props to Square Enix for the astounding lighting and Visual Fidelity achieved without using any Ray Tracing implementations–which honestly tanks performance more than it gives back.

All the lighting effects in FF7 Rebirth are “baked in” which means there are no Ray Tracing or performance tanking lighting systems. Hopefully, the game is released with an optimized PC port–which is something that is becoming rarer and rarer in the current state of the Gaming Industry.
