Tekken 8 EVO JAPAN 2024 Bracket and Standing Overview
EVO Japan 2024 Tekken 8 Bracket Round 1
Things started off on day one with 128 Brackets consisting of 1,247 entrants from across the globe. As standard, things kicked off with Double Elimination to speed things up. Out of the 1,247 Tekken 8 competitors, only 384 players made it to the 2nd round.
Notable Tekken players that made it to EVO Japan Tekken 8 Round 2 consisted of JeonDDing, KDF’s ULSAN and CBM, Knee, and LowHigh. All these competitors previously made it to the Global Finals of Tekken World Tour 2023 (TWT 2023), which marked the end of Tekken 7 eSports. It was stated that JDCR wasn’t going to partake in EVO Japan 2024, but to the surprise of many, there he was.
EVO Japan 2024 Tekken 8 Bracket Round 2
Round 2 kicked off with another double-elimination setup consisting of 16 brackets. Nearly all notable names as you’d expect made their way to Round 3 of EVO Japan 2024’s Tekken 8 Bracket. The juggernauts of Tekken 7 eSports showed that revamping the game’s mechanics and adding the controversial Heat System wouldn’t be enough to undermine their years of competitive prowess.
Round 2 was a frenzy and as you’d expect, KDF’s CBM and ULSAN, JeonDDing, Knee, and LowHigh all made it to Round 3, without breaking a sweat across the 16 Tekken 8 Brackets.
Evo Japan 2024 Tekken 8 Bracket Round 3
Round 3 — Bracket K201
Across 4 Pools, the remaining 96 entrants made it to Round 3, and saying things seemed pretty heated would be an understatement. During Round 3, JeonDDing made it to the Winners Semi-Final with ease in Pool K201 along with DRX’s Infested. Players who were relegated to the Losers Bracket but progressed to the Losers Semifinals consisted of 魚群 double and Monja.
Round 3 — Bracket K202
Tekken 8 EVO Japan 2024’s Bracket K202 consisted of KDF’s ULSAN and DRX’s LowHigh making it to the Winner’s Semi-Finals which was pretty much expected from the TWT 2023 Global Finalists from the get-go. Unfortunately, JDCR lost 1-2 against DRX’s LowHigh and was dropped to Losers Round 3. Ultimately, JDCR was eliminated from the event to the surprise of many, losing to Falcon’s SAINT by 0 to 2, who made his way to the Semifinals, along with TZ’s B君.
Round 3 – Bracket K203
Bracket K203 started and all eyes were on KDF’s CBM, Varrel’s Rangchu, and DRX’s Knee. The pressure was on both Tekken veterans. Would they make it to the Winner’s Semifinals? Unfortunately, the odds were not in their favor.
KDF’s CBM lost 0-2 to Mangja in the Winners Semi-Finals, dropping him to the Losers Semifinal Bracket. CBM has made comebacks in the past, so there’s still hope for him to recollect himself.
DRX’s Knee lost 0-2 to THY’s chikurin, dropping him to Loser’s Round 3 while THY’s Chikurin faced off against Rangcu in the Winners Semi-Final.
THY’s chikurin was on fire as he decimated Rangchu 2-0, proceeding to the Semifinals Winners Bracket while Rangchu made it to the Losers Semifinal Bracket.
While CBM and Rangchu still made it to the Semifinals via the Losers Bracket, the pressure was still on Knee as he had to clear Losers Rounds 3 and 4 to make it to the Semifinals. In Loser’s Round 4, Yagami defeated Knee 2-0 and that was the end of Knee’s journey at Tekken 8 EVO Japan 2024.
Honorable mentions go to SonicFox, as the notorious Tekken player was booted from EVO Japan 2024 in Losers Round 1 as he lost 1-2 against TeamYAMASA’s TAKE.
Round 3 – Bracket K204
K204 marked the final bracket of Round 3. DRX’s CHANEL effortlessly blazed to the Semifinals Winners Bracket. Jimmytran was in the spotlight this time, going up against KDF’s Meo-IL. Sadly, jimmytran lost 0-2 against KDF Meo-IL, who subsequently was decimated in the Semifinals Losers Bracket after a 1-2 loss against DRX’s CHANEL.
There was still hope for jimmytran and boy, did he put up a show. Jimmytran spawned into Loser’s Round 3 and blazed his way to the Semifinals along with TALON’s Book in the Losers bracket.
Tekken Master won 2-0 against RFC CDT Princess Namine in the Winners Semi-Final. While Tekken Master secured his position in the Semifinal Winners Bracket, Princess Namine was tasked with climbing through the Semifinal Losers Bracket.

Winners Bracket – Semifinals
With the semifinals finally in play, the winners were reading up for the Winner’s Bracket Quarter Finals. The roster consisted of JeonDDing against DRX Infested, KDFC Mulgold against DRX Lowhigh, Manja against THY chikurin, and DRX CHANEL against Tekken Master.
DRX Infested dominated JeonDDing 2-0. It was a complete beatdown. DRX Infested proceeded to the Final while JeonDDing, unfortunately, had to step down to Losers Round 3.
Next up was DRX LowHigh against Mulgold. Mulgold gave LowHigh a bit of trouble but ultimately, LowHigh came out on top, winning 2-1 against Mulgold. As standard Mulgold, dropped to Losers Round 3.
The next ship was Mangja vs THY chikurin. Chikurin had been on a roll for the previous matches but Mangja proved themselves to be a worthy contender. Ultimately, chikurin won 2-1 against Mangja and proceeded to the Final.
DRX’s very own CHANEL had been decimating the competition but Tekken Master had also been doing fairly well for the majority of his progression through the ranks. With a toe-to-toe fight, DRX CHANEL came out on top; 2-1 against Tekken Master.
Losers Bracket – Semifinals
Losers Round 1 Semifinals – Highlights
The Losers bracket was full to the brim with the prior TWT Global Finalists as well as some renowned Tekken players. Rangchu, CBM, ULSAN, and a spectacular upset by jimmytran secured them a wavering but possible position in the Finals.
Amongst the highlighted contestants, Rangchu won 2-0 against TZ B君 and KDF’s CBM progressed to losers round 2 to face off against Rangchu.
On the other end of the spectrum KDF’s ULSAN faced off against Yagami, but to the dismay of many, ULSAN was eliminated 1-2 as Yagami made it to Losers Round 2.
Jimmytran, the talk of Tekken 8 EVO Japan 2024 faced off against kkokoma. Despite, putting up a good fight, jimmytran was eliminated from the competition as kkomma made it to Loser’s Round 2.
Losers Round 2 Highlights
With only 4 matches left to go, 12 participants were struggling to secure one of two positions in the Finals. Losers Round 2 saw the progression of 魚群 double, KDF’s CBM, Yagami, and kkokoma to Losers Round 3.

Losers Round 3
Participants who fell from grace in the Winners Semifinal Bracket were now facing off against the struggling underdogs of the Losers Bracket.
魚群 double made quick work of KDF Mulgold going 2-1 and proceeding to Losers Round 4. It seemed that JeonDDing would surely lost to KDF’s CBM considering his previous rankings in TWT 2023, but JeonDDing decimated CBM by 2-0, making his way to Losers Round 4.
Tekken Master was up against Yagami and won 2–0 proceeding to the Losers Round 4. Similarly, Mangja defeated kkokkoma 2-0, securing his position in Losers Round 4.
