Treyarch Kicks Off 115 Day With COD BO6 Zombies DLC Map Reveal “The Tomb”
All the previous leaks were true. What we formerly thought was going to be called Digsite in the previous leaks is now known as “The Tomb” The first thing they revealed is this image here, which shows a brand-new look at one of the areas of the map. This area was previously teased through the Citadelle Des Morts intel. Now, we get to see it fully colored. In the image, you can clearly spot an armor wall buy and an ammo mod machine.
To kick off 115 Day, Treyarch has added Double XP for the following week, including double XP, double battle pass XP, double weapon XP, and double GobbleGum earn rates. This is fantastic news, but it’s also something we expected to see as part of the celebration.
Now, let’s talk about DLC 2. What was formerly referred to as The Digsite is now officially called The Tomb. I love this because it feels like a spiritual successor to Origins. Fun fact: the original name for Origins was Leuma, which is French for “The Tomb.” Now, we’re getting a map that is literally called The Tomb!
COD Black Ops 6 Zombies The Tomb DLC Release Date

The Tomb arrives with Season 2, so let’s clear up the timeline: Treyarch is launching the next Zombies map in less than two weeks, just after the release of Citadelle Des Morts and Season 1 Reloaded. The Tomb will drop at the start of Season 2 on January 28th.
COD Black Ops 6 Zombies DLC 2 The Tomb: PPSH 41 or MP40?

As part of the 115-Day blog post, Treyarch hinted that one of the most iconic SMGs in Zombies history is coming along for the ride in The Tomb. There has been a lot of speculation within the community about what this SMG could be and what qualifies as an iconic SMG in Zombies.
To answer that question, we need to look at which SMG has appeared in the most Call of Duty Zombies games, as that would naturally classify it as iconic. The SMGs that come to mind are the MP40, which has appeared in eight different Call of Duty Zombies games, and the PPSh-41, which has featured in six.
I’d love to know which SMG the community considers more iconic and would want to see return—the PPSh-41 or the MP40. Personally, when it comes to the PPSh-41, it stands out as the most iconic SMG in Zombies.
It has an insane fire rate, a massive ammo capacity, and feels like an LMG in an SMG’s body. The countless hours I’ve spent using the PPSh-41 on the original World at War Zombies maps made it unforgettable. You were never disappointed when you pulled this weapon from the Mystery Box. The PPSh-41 was so iconic that it didn’t return to Call of Duty Zombies until Black Ops 3 Zombies.
However, if we look at another leak from a very credible insider called The Ghost of Hope, he tweeted that the MP40 is coming to Black Ops 6 with Season 2. While this information is intriguing, I’m more inclined to believe the leaked code referencing the PPSh-41 in the game files. This seems like strong evidence that the PPSh-41 is the SMG we’ll see in The Tomb.
The Ghost of Hope has a solid track record and rarely gets things wrong, but it’s hard to determine whether his statement about the MP40 is based on insider knowledge or simply his personal opinion. Either way, both weapons are strong candidates, and the anticipation for which iconic SMG will return to Black Ops 6 with Season 2 continues to grow.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombies “The Tomb” DLC Map: Vulture Aid, Death Perception or Mule Kick Perk-a-Colas?

Near the end of the 115 blog, Treyarch celebrated a ton of community artwork and collections. One post showcased a collection of all the perk cans from Black Ops Cold War Zombies, along with the Melee Macchiato perk can from Black Ops 6. Interestingly, the collection included three perks that are not currently available in the game. Treyarch added a quote underneath the post, saying, “Hell of a perk collection. Could our next perk-a-cola be somewhere in this photo?”
If we look at the bottom left row, we can see Mule Kick, Tombstone Soda, and Death Perception, none of which currently exist in Black Ops 6. Personally, I think it would be very fitting for a map called The Tomb to introduce Tombstone Soda as its new perk.
Interestingly, if we revisit some leaks on X (formerly known as Twitter) by Allen390, a highly accurate data miner, he revealed that there are Vulture Aid, Death Perception, and Tombstone perk customization options—both major and minor augmentations—within the game’s files. This adds even more weight to the possibility of these perks making their way into the game soon.
COD Black Ops 6 Zombies The Tomb: Elemental Ice Staff Wonder Weapon?

We have to talk about The Tomb’s Wonder Weapon because Treyarch has confirmed that the map will feature a reimagined Wonder Weapon inspired by their past. There are plenty of iconic Wonder Weapons that Treyarch could draw from, but based on what they’ve shared so far, it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly what it could be.
However, at the very bottom of the 115-Day blog, Treyarch highlighted a community member who created a real-life version of the Ice Staff. Their caption read: “And here’s an incredible fan-made version of the Staff of Ice, which we’re definitely not highlighting for any particular reason.” This screams an obvious teaser, with the wording strongly implying that a staff—likely the Staff of Ice—could be the Wonder Weapon for this map.
Rather than bringing back all four Elemental Staffs from Origins, this reimagined Wonder Weapon might focus solely on the Ice Staff. I’d love to know your thoughts—does it feel slightly odd that Treyarch would bring back just one elemental staff and not the others? If it is just the Ice Staff, it’s clear from their wording that it’s the strongest lead we have.
Additionally, we have some solid evidence backing up the possibility of a staff-based Wonder Weapon. Back in December, a well-known Twitter leaker, Alan the Third, shared strings of code related to an upcoming Wonder Weapon. The code mentioned a “tip” and described three healing orbs.
In Origins, when each Elemental Staff was upgraded, it gained a secondary attachment. Activating this allowed the staff to flip, firing from the bottom end (the “tip”) and shooting a healing orb that traveled in a straight line to revive downed players. This matches the leaked details remarkably well.
Combining these leaks with Treyarch’s own teasers makes it increasingly likely that we’ll see the return of a staff-based Wonder Weapon. However, it’s important to note that Treyarch described this as a reimagining of a Wonder Weapon, which means it has been a Wonder Weapon in the past but may feature significant changes in this new iteration.
Conclusion
That pretty much wraps up everything we know about The Zombies DLC 2 map, The Tomb for Call of Duty Black Ops 6. For more guides, news and COD updates, stay tuned at eSports Eclipse!
