COD BO6 Season 1 Weapons: KRIG C AR
The KRIG C assault rifle closely resembles the KRIG from Cold War. You’ll unlock it as the HVT reward on page three of the Season One battle pass. On page 14 of the pass, there’s also a blueprint available for the KRIG C, which you can choose to unlock as well.
A quick reminder about the prestige system: if you have a blueprint for a weapon, you’ll be able to use it indefinitely, even if the base weapon gets locked after you prestige. However, DLC weapons typically remain unlocked after prestiging, which is my current assumption.
The KRIG C has 43 levels, three magazine options, and an initial magazine size of 30 rounds. There are Mastery Badges available, too. It’s a fully automatic assault rifle with high damage and moderate handling. The recoil pattern is initially very manageable before ramping up slightly.
COD Black Ops 6 Season 1 Weapons: SAUG SMG
The SAUG SMG, a fan-favorite from Black Ops 4 (2018), is making its comeback in COD Black Ops 6 Season 1. You’ll be able to unlock it on a specific page of the battle pass as the HVT (High-Value Target) reward, and there’s also a blueprint available on page 11 of the battle pass.
When you see a weapon marked as an HVT, keep in mind that you must unlock the other tiers on that page before accessing the final tier. The final tier reward could be a ranged weapon, blueprint, or even an operator skin—this is the standard setup for each battle pass map.
The SAUG SMG comes with 39 levels, four magazine options, and a base magazine size of 36 rounds. It also features Mastery Badges, giving players more to strive for as they progress with the weapon. With its excellent mobility, good handling, and high rate of fire, the SAUG SMG is perfect for fast-paced combat. However, it does come with high recoil, which can be refined using Gunsmith to find the best meta attachments for this returning weapon.
COD BO6 Season 1 Weapons: Maelstrom Shotgun
The Maelstrom is a new shotgun that will be unlocked through an event reward in COD Black Ops 6, bringing back a system we saw in Cold War where players could earn new weapons by completing event challenges.
We saw a similar setup in Cold War‘s Season 6 Haunting event, where players unlocked the LAPA SMG by completing Halloween challenges. While it’s not yet clear which event this shotgun is tied to, reports suggest it will be released during the mid-season.
The Maelstrom shotgun has 34 levels, three magazine options, and an initial magazine size of 10 rounds. It also includes Mastery Badges and plenty of customizable accessories. This fully automatic shotgun features good range and handling but comes with high recoil and a large hip spread. It will be interesting to see if the Maelstrom can take over the ASG as the new meta weapon in Black Ops 6 Zombies mode.
COD Black Ops 6 All Season 1 Weapons: AMR Mod 4 Sniper Rifle
The AMR Mod 4 is a new sniper rifle arriving mid-season through an event unlock. Visually, it resembles the M82 or the Barrett .50 Cal, with powerful stats to match.
This sniper has 38 levels, four magazine options, and an initial magazine size of six rounds. It comes with Mastery Badges and is classified as a semi-automatic sniper, capable of one-shot kills to the torso, arms, hands, and upper legs.
While the AMR Mod 4 delivers heavy damage, it has very high recoil and a slow rate of fire, requiring precision and timing to use effectively. You can steady your aim while ADS (aiming down sights) to improve accuracy. Notably, it’s considered one of the hardest-hitting snipers in Black Ops 6, capable of dealing massive damage up to 100 meters.
COD BO6 Season 1 All Weapons: Sirin 9mm Secondary Weapon
The Sirin 9mm is a new secondary weapon arriving mid-season in COD Black Ops 6 as a special event reward, distinct from typical event unlocks like the Maelstrom shotgun and AMR sniper. Interestingly, the upcoming “Hitless Challenge” event artwork includes an image of this weapon, hinting at its importance in Black Ops 6‘s lineup.
This fully automatic secondary weapon comes with 30 levels, three magazine options, and an initial magazine size of 32 rounds. It also includes Mastery Badges, offering players progression and customization options. The Sirin 9mm is designed as a secondary with SMG-like characteristics but with a slower rate of fire, making it potentially one of the most powerful secondary options in multiplayer and Warzone.
The weapon has moderate recoil with each shot, adding a bit of challenge to sustained fire. Notably, it will be placed in a unique category within the secondary weapons in the Create-a-Class menu—essentially making it a giant fully automatic pistol but not classified as a typical pistol. Keep an eye out for this high-powered secondary and unlock it to see its impact in Black Ops 6!
COD BO6 Season 1 Melee Weapons: Power Drill
The Power Drill is an exciting new melee weapon in Call of Duty Black Ops 6, adding a unique twist to the melee lineup. Black Ops 3 set the standard with its collection of creative melee weapons, followed by some memorable additions in BO4 and Cold War, but BO3 still leads in sheer variety. Given that Black Ops 6 includes a dedicated melee slot, we can likely expect at least one or two new melee options each season.
The Power Drill comes with 30 levels to unlock, Mastery Badge support, and various customization options. It’s a two-hit kill weapon with a very short range but an impressively fast attack speed, making it effective in close combat. The Power Drill also features different attack animations, including sweeps, jabs, uppercuts, and a heavy attack that drills directly into opponents. This variety gives it a bit of flair and functionality in battle.
It’s also reminiscent of the Soulrender melee weapon from MW3, where certain attacks lock you into a dynamic animation against specific enemies. Whether this weapon becomes a mainstay in melee-focused loadouts or simply a fun tool for those who like to get up close, it’s sure to add some punch—and holes—to the competition when things get intense.
COD Black Ops 6 Season 1 Melee Weapons: Cleaver
The Cleaver is another mid-season melee weapon set to debut as an event reward unlock, joining the Power Drill in Call of Duty Black Ops 6‘s growing arsenal of close-range options. This addition hints at a series of events lined up for Season 1, although it’s still unclear if each weapon will come from a different event or if a single event will offer multiple DLC weapons.
The Cleaver offers 30 levels to unlock, and Mastery Badge support and is a powerful one-hit-kill weapon with a short-to-medium range and a moderate attack speed. It also includes two attack options—a quick attack for faster, more agile strikes, and a heavy attack for dealing maximum damage. Whether for fast-paced close combat or tactical strikes, the Cleaver is designed to make an impact as one of the standout melee options this season.
