Call of Duty Black Ops 6: What Version of CODBO6 Should You Buy?

Which version of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 (COD BO6) should you buy? Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be available on October 25, 2024, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. But PC players have to choose COD BO6 on 3 different platforms. You could buy Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on Battle.net, Steam or PC Game Pass?

These options have left confusion among the PC CODBO6 fan base. With three different game clients to pick from, which is the better fit for PC Gamers? That does come down to personal choice and ease of use at the end of the day, but here’s my two cents on the matter.

What Version of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 (COD BO6) Should You Buy?

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 - CODBO6 - COD BO6 - Steam - PC Game Pass - Battle.net

If you plan on going with the Steam version of Call of Duty Black Ops 6, you should first take into account how the game played on the Steam version. Anecdotal claims state that Modern Warfare 3 ran like a jittery mess with, apparently, “worse graphics”. There’s also the problem of Steam Servers going down for maintenance on Thursdays, which means no BO6 multiplayer on Thursdays. Plus, you’ll be paying 69.99 Dollars for the Standard Edition of the game.

Compared to MW3 on Battle.net, it’s speculated that the Battle.net version of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be fine for the most part. But then again, you’ll still have to pay 69.99 Dollars to play the game.

If it were up to me, I’d personally go for the PC Game Pass Version of Call of Duty Black Ops 6. For just 1 Dollar, you can buy a PC Game Pass subscription for 14 days and afterward, you’ll be charged 9.99 dollars per month for the service. And to make things even sweeter, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is going to be a Day One Release on PC Game Pass.

If you haven’t used PC Game Pass before, the bar of entry can’t go any lower. You can play Black Ops 6 for 1 Dollar for 14 days and then pay 9.99 dollars every month. In addition, you’ll also gain access to many other Day One releases and plenty of other games.

Buy the PC Game Pass Version of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 (COD BO6)

At the end of the day, it makes sense to buy the PC Game Pass version of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 owing to the incredibly low bar of entry. A 14-day 1-dollar subscription followed up by a $9.99 recurring subscription seems too sweet to pass on. Otherwise, you’ll have to fork over 70 dollars on other platforms.
