Black Myth Wukong – Easiest Way To Get Snake Head Mushrooms

Black Myth: Wukong is a game all about making sure players have what they need to totally take down some demons. Yeah, you got permanent skills and upgrades, but sometimes you just need that little extra oomph to handle that really tough boss. That’s where consumables step in—they’re temporary power-ups for your statistics.

In this game, resources are super rare, so you gotta be smart about how you use those consumables. The good news is that some crafting materials, like the handy Snake-Head Mushrooms, are pretty easy to find if you know the right spots. Speaking of which.

You’re going along in Chapter 1, casually having a stroll through the really nice Black Wind Mountain area, when suddenly—poof! You find a load of glowing yellow-tipped mushrooms. Score! These little guys are actually Snake-Head Mushrooms, and they’re totally just asking to be picked.

These ‘shrooms will generally just be chillin’ in groups off the main trails. Each group usually contains two Snake-Head Mushrooms, so keep your eyes peeled. Also, be aware that these groups don’t respawn, so make sure to search the Black Wind Mountain area pretty thoroughly in order to collect all you can.

Sure thing! If you are feeling a bit lazy or just in need of a fast pick-me-up, then you can definitely buy Snake-Head Mushrooms from the Shrine Store for 120 Will apiece. Just a disclaimer: not all Shrine stores have them available, and there is a maximum quantity you can buy through the course of the game. Time to get foraging!

From Fungi to Fury: What Are Snake-Head Mushrooms Good For?

These little fungi are not only aesthetically pleasing; they also play a huge role in the production of certain potent medicines derived by humans:

Amplification Pellets: These greatly boost your critical hit chance for a decent period of time. Good for those “One hit KOs.”.
Tiger Subduing Pellets: Wind up your damage, and become an absolute whirlwind of pain for any poor demon that crosses your path.

As with every focus on a high build, it is really based around going on the attack; thus these two meds are perfect for them. Sure, you’ll be able to buy them or even score them in chests, but of course, making them yourself is the best way to keep that supply up. Plus, since you can find the other ingredients rather easily in the early chapters, you will be doling out some serious damage before long. There you go. Next time you’re in the wilds of Black Myth: Wukong, keep an eye out for those glowing yellow-tipped treasures—because they can totally be what you need to unleash your inner demon-slaying machine!
