Best Black Myth Wukong Mods? Yep, you heard it, right. The modding scene has been popping up for Black Myth Wukong, bringing tons of quality-of-life features that should’ve been already present in the game. But the modding scene blessed us with these missing features! Though, you might want to try out the Vanilla Black Myth Wukong experience before trying out these mods. And if you’ve got an itch for it, you can install these mods for NG+. But beware, these mods are pretty resource-intensive. So, make sure you’ve got a sweet gaming rig to handle all the extra workload. We’ll also include links to each mod under every heading. With that said, here are the 8 Best Black Myth Wukong Mods you need to seriously check out.
While you’re at it, check out our other in-depth guides too! We’ve compiled the Best Staffs and Best Weapons Tier List in Black Myth Wukong.
Moreover, we’ve also pumped out a guide for the Best Black Myth Wukong Armor Sets Tier List.
Note: Some of these mods are pretty unstable and may cause significant game crashes. Other Black Myth Wukong Mods are pretty resource-intensive, so make sure you’ve got a beefy gaming PC to handle all the extra graphical demand.
Black Myth Wukong Somersault Cloud Mod
Mod Link:
Somersault Cloud Mod
We have the Somersault Cloud Anywhere mod, which, as the name implies, gives you access to the cloud mechanic on every single map, not just Chapter 6. This adds a whole new perspective to the game because now you can explore areas you normally couldn’t. I was surprised by how many fully-rendered assets exist in places that we typically can’t visit, such as a fully-rendered town in Chapter 2’s secret map. It just sits in the distance, yet retains so much detail—even if you get up close. This level of rendering must be a resource hog, and this kind of detail can be found in almost every map.
Black Myth Wukong Map Mod – Full Map and Mini-Map
Mod Links:
Mini-Map Mod
Simple Map Mod
Speaking of maps, the next two mods introduce features the game is missing. On one hand, we have a Mini Map mod, which, as the name suggests, provides a mini map with resources and secrets around you. There’s also a Simple Map mod that introduces a full-blown map of your current area.
You can trigger this with the “M” key on the keyboard or by pressing “R1” and the arrow up on the controller. Once activated, you’ll see an overhead view of your current location in real-time, including any objectives or spawnable elements like enemies, treasure chests, and hidden secrets.
The map also displays plants and even enemies disguised as plants, marking them both on the map and in front of you. I found this feature very useful, though the only downside is that, at the time of this writing, you can’t toggle off icons you’ve already interacted with. For example, if you open a chest, it will still appear in the HUD. But once that’s fixed, this could be one of the best mods, especially if you’re starting New Game Plus.
Black Myth Wukong Mod – AI Spawner Mod
Mod Link:
AI Spawner Mod
If you haven’t jumped into New Game Plus yet but want to test out your build or have fun battling bosses, there’s an AI Spawner mod by AlexPo. This mod gives you access to every creature, boss, and mini-boss in the game, allowing you to summon them almost anywhere. Most bosses can be summoned in any area, with some exceptions for bosses that depend on specific regions. For instance, certain bosses can only be spawned in their original environments. This mod also lets you spawn multiple enemies, even duplicating them, which significantly ups the challenge. You can even control whether the AI will attack you immediately or remain paused, and you can choose to appear visible or invisible to the enemies, which can help you avoid being overrun as you spawn them.
Black Myth Wukong Lightsaber Mod
Mod Link:
Lightsaber Mod
No mods’ discussion would be complete without mentioning model replacements. One standout is the Double Blade Lightsaber mod by NorxPL, which replaces your staff with a lightsaber in every color, complete with sound effects. This mod adds a fun twist to your gameplay, especially if you’re looking for a more wild run. Although it’s still a work in progress, it offers a variety of lightsaber colors like red, green, blue, and purple. You can even choose to replace only specific staffs, such as the one you start with at level one. It’s high-quality and looks great!
Black Myth Wukong Character Models (Son Goku, Kratos, PingPing The Fox Lady)
Mod Links:
PingPing The Fox Lady Mod
JumpForce Son Goku Mod
Kratos Mod
Continuing with model replacements, there are several mods for Wukong himself. You’ll find Son Goku mods from Dragon Ball, Johnny Silverhand from Cyberpunk 2077, and even Kratos from God of War. My personal favorite is PingPing The Fox Lady mod, which replaces your character with the Fox Lady from Chapter 5. This mod even includes a voice pack, replacing Wukong’s sound effects with those of PingPing Fox Lady. The only downside is that it replaces your mythical Wukong armor from Chapter 6, but you can still mix and match other armor pieces. There’s also a high-quality version of this mod with better physics, although it might impact performance.
Increased Rare Item Drop Rate Mod
Mod Link:
Rare Item Drop Rate Mod
Another helpful mod is the Increased Rare Item Drop Rate, which increases the drop rate of rare items. For example, items like the legendary Tiger Belt from Chapter 4 typically have a very low drop rate, but this mod can double or triple the chances, or even guarantee a 100% drop rate. It’s especially useful if you’ve had bad luck farming certain items before entering New Game Plus.
Best Black Myth Wukong Mods – True Dasheng – Secret 4 Focus Wukong Stance Mod
Mod Link: Wukong Dasheng
One of the best mods right now is Wukong Dasheng, which unlocks the fourth stance usually available in Chapter 6 when equipping the mythical Wukong armor and Jingu Bang. This mod allows you to use the fourth stance without having to enter New Game Plus. You’ll get access to all the cool moves, including the heavy four-focus-point hit that devastates enemies. If you don’t want to use the Jingu Bang, there are optional files that allow you to apply the stance to any staff in the game, such as the Tri-point Spear.
Best Black Myth Wukong Mods – Great Sage Broken Shell Mod
Mod Link:
Great Sage Broken Shell Mod
Lastly, we have the Great Sage Broken Shell mod, inspired by the final boss of the game. This mod gives you the same moves and oversized staff that Wukong uses against you in the final battle. You can also control the AI to some extent. However, the mod is currently unstable and may crash frequently. Once it’s fully fixed, it could become one of the most fun ways to play the game.
Conclusion
That’s pretty much a wrap for all the best Black Myth Wukong mods you could try out for your NG+ experience. Make sure you have a beefy rig and if the mod crashes, wait out for future updates because Black Myth Wukong isn’t going anywhere soon. Stay tuned for more guides, news, and tips at eSports Eclipse.
